Prevas expands the market for traceability by the acquisition of ADRess
software program. ADRess is a program that ensures the traceability of data and telecommunication networks in buildings. The program is used for design, documentation and maintenance of networks, and typical customers include property companies, industrial corporations with large buildings, consultants and building contractors.
Prevas takes over the product as from 2 January, 2006 along with knowledge and skills transfer
from ÅF to Prevas. Part of the agreement is that ÅF will continue to have access to ADRess for its
own consultancy projects. The product is currently in use by such companies as AstraZeneca, DynaMate, Husqvarna, Stora Enso, Teracom and Vattenfall.
“The acquisition of ADRess gives us growth potential within a new customer group in the traceability market. The program complements Prevas existing traceability solutions, which have such functions as managing the value in technical installations such as building networks," says Tom Hollowell, head of Prevas´ Traceability Products business unit.
